This Privacy Policy describes how MadUnicow (“we”, “the apps”) handle information when you use MadUnicow mobile or MadUnicow TV. It applies to all MadUnicow-branded clients that link to this page.
1. Summary
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not show ads or use advertising trackers.
- Most viewing data stays on your device.
- Optional account, sync, and catalog services share only what those features need.
- Profile PIN codes never leave the device.
2. Information we process
2.1 On your device (local)

2.2 Optional MadUnicow account
If you sign in with a MadUnicow account (email/password):
- We process account identifiers (for example email and auth user id) to maintain your session.
- Signed-in users may receive assigned IPTV credentials from our backend so Live TV / VOD work without typing a server URL.
- Library / Continue Watching may sync to your account when signed in.
You can use many features without creating an account.
2.3 Optional third-party services you enable

Those providers have their own privacy policies. We do not control their servers.
2.4 Diagnostics
In-app diagnostics may copy device and version information for support. Platform stores (Apple / Google) may collect anonymized crash or vitals data if you install from their store.
3. How we use information
- Operate and improve MadUnicow apps
- Provide playback, guides, profiles, and library features
- Sync optional account data you enable
- Respond to support requests you send us
4. Sharing
We share information only:
- With service providers needed for a feature you use
- When required by law
- With your direction (for example connecting Trakt or an add-on)
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-app advertising.
5. Retention
- Local data remains until you clear app data, uninstall, or delete a profile / library item.
- Account data is retained while your MadUnicow account exists; request deletion via Support or GitHub Issues.
6. Security
HTTPS is used for platform and public metadata APIs. Local secrets use on-device storage where implemented. No security measure is perfect; protect access to your device and MadUnicow account.
7. Children
MadUnicow is a general-audience media client. It is not directed at children under 13. Do not create an account for a child under 13 without appropriate parental consent under applicable law.
8. Your choices
- Use the app without signing in
- Disconnect optional integrations
- Clear app storage or uninstall to remove local data
- Request account deletion via Support
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
